before i wake by i fight dragons this song is awesome!!! this song has a very awesome chord structure . it seems the same most of the way through the song , but the changes in the Chorus and the last Interlude could throw you if you’re not careful . it doesn’t follow general pop music perfectly , but it sounds awesome regardless . the need to know to play this song : - regular tuning - finger picking throughout is important with a lot of emphasis on the bass note of each chord - if you’re singing this then you should also note how some of the verses start after beat one but you start the chord on beat one . - when i say "hold" i mean to play the chord and let ring until you go to the next chord - listen to the song and play along a few times and you’ll get it in the end! a recommendation : - i recommend bar chords for the softer more muted texture and fuller bass sound , but it’s up to your taste . here’s my fingering for the F#m/C# that works well . when you get to the regular F#m just play it the regular way .
